This blog post is problematic and especially overlooks the differences between a man’s experience traveling alone and a woman’s. But it’s worth reading, and it’s mostly pretty accurate. I’m mostly reblogging to give a hearty amen to its first paragraph, because that’s exactly how I feel about the US. I love it, it’s home, they’re my people, that’s my turf, but by God I need some distance because it is not in a good place.
